Civil engineering · Auckland

Infrastructure considered before it becomes a constraint.

LW Architecture coordinates civil engineering for Auckland homes and developments, bringing site servicing, access and infrastructure into the same conversation as architecture and planning.

The approach

A well-designed development has to work below ground as well as above it.

Stormwater, wastewater, access, earthworks and site servicing can materially affect a project’s yield, layout, programme and approval path. Addressing them early gives the wider team a more realistic basis for design decisions.

Our civil engineers work directly with the architects and planners, allowing technical requirements to be resolved alongside the proposal rather than after the key spatial decisions have been made.

How we work

Engineering input at the moments it has most value.

  1. 01

    Understand the site systems

We identify the access, servicing, stormwater and infrastructure questions that need to be tested early.

  2. 02

    Resolve the development response

Engineering and design are coordinated so the site works as a complete and buildable proposition.

  3. 03

    Support consent and delivery

The civil scope is carried into the appropriate consent and construction documentation with a clear view of interfaces.
